The NFT art collection 'this way's up' began late one night in November of 2021.
"The series pays homage to my larger works of color, but I've found a sense of 'circular' creativity within the digital medium.The physical medium has a more definitive "beginning - middle - end" whereas the digital world of art allows for infinite possibilities and time. While I miss stretching my 6 ft canvases, I feel that here in the ether...there is an entire universe to explore.
thisWaysUP was created using my original process ‘Artistic Redaction’ - the systematic deletion of words & emotion by the pushing & pulling of color and texture until what once was something literal is now something abstract.
